Lately, more and more companies have decided to move their on-premise systems' platforms and infrastructure to a cloud environment.
By adopting this technology, they seek to achieve various benefits such as greater levels of flexibility, efficiency, innovation, agility in decision-making, centralization and accessibility to their databases, among many others.
Furthermore, this same process becomes a key step for organizations to begin their journey towards the desired digital transformation and, therefore, in their ambition to be more competitive in the market they want to conquer.
Considering this scenario, since last December our team, made up of Scrum Master Iván Peña, along with architects Sebastián Torres and Francisco Acuña, has been working on the GCP Foundation project for one of our clients.
“Unlike other initiatives, our work focuses on conducting sessions to help clients understand and prepare for migrating their platform to the Google cloud. This involves investigating their current infrastructure, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing them with a comprehensive overview of how to approach this cloud migration,” Iván Peña explains.
He explains that Cloud Foundations are more theoretical than anything else. “Through Zenta’s expertise, we aim to help clients understand what the migration process involves, what roles they need to play, what tools to use, what key decisions they need to make regarding architecture and infrastructure, how to move them to the cloud, and what the best products to use would be,” he explains.
As a final result of all the work culminating in January, the team will deliver comprehensive documentation that provides guidance on how the technical infrastructure and cloud design should be implemented, the definition of activities, and in addition, a development roadmap will be provided if required.

“So far, we’ve had an excellent experience as a team because we’ve managed to foster highly effective, fluid, and very organized work, while also maintaining very agile and clear communication among us. Furthermore, each of us has been able to gain more learning and experience related to this type of project,” he emphasizes.
At Zenta, we want to highlight the organization and expertise of our architects, who are currently developing a project to deliver the foundations of their cloud migration to our client.
