As part of AWS's strategic plan for its regional partners in 2023, several initiatives have been designed to enhance technical skills. On this occasion, we were invited to participate in the Game Day event.
What is AWS Game Day?
It is an event in which participating partners are asked to solve a fictitious technical problem using AWS services.
Different tasks are carried out, with which points are accumulated, and at the end, the team with the most points wins the competition and receives prizes given by the brand.
But, to understand it even more, it's important that you know about the challenge and how it was carried out.
What was the challenge like?
This session, which lasted approximately 4 and a half hours, began with the presentation of the challenge we had to take on, in which our team called “No Retreat, No Surrender” and the other partners had to solve a microservices problem within a company called “Unicorn Rentals”.
To achieve this, it was necessary to create our own microservices, but we couldn't consume our own services, only those of other players, further increasing the difficulty.
All of this involved having great skills and technical knowledge in AWS tools and its console, to start the services, monitor them and keep them active, while consuming services from other players, achieving a challenging but fun and creative experience.
Our Zenta experts were undoubtedly instrumental in successfully completing this event, where team interaction and coordination were just as important as the technical aspects. All of this allowed them to live up to their team name, "We don't give up, we don't quit."

Of course! We are invited for a second round in September, for which we hope to have 2 teams, allowing us to continue demonstrating everything we have to offer the IT world.
