Currently, the entire world has its eyes on Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse, which is why various investigations have been carried out, not only to discover their potential benefits and risks, but also to generate regulations that allow us to coexist safely.
One of these investigations was created in Chile by the Future Congress and promoted by the Senate, where we have had the pleasure of participating and supporting the country in the creation of laws that protect citizens.
“Chile has a future from its territories” is a book that can be found digitally and is available to everyone, in which a global view of the metaverse and all the implications that this will have for our present and future is given, with the objective of creating laws.

This has made Chile the only country that has enshrined "Neurorights" in its constitution, which aims to…
“It protects people from the use or misuse of converging technologies in the use of neurorights” Tomás Vera, Innovation Director at Zenta.
But this compilation of research and working groups developed between 2018 and 2022 is not the only thing that is being implemented.
With the aim of bringing knowledge to everyone, immersion meetings into the Metaverse have been held in the Santiago metro and international conferences have also been held, where experts from all corners of the world have come to our country to give us the best and most up-to-date information.
The seminar held in March, which we co-organized, allowed us to demonstrate the opportunities and threats of the Metaverse, opening the door to endless possibilities and applications that will change the way we see the world today.

But, to begin that technological transition, Tomás Vera had the opportunity to explain a key point, which lays the foundation that will allow us to fully enjoy the advantages of the metaverse… Interoperability.
What is interoperability?
In simple terms, it is the ability to use two or more systems together and interchangeably, and that is where its great importance lies.
Tomás Vera explains: “We see this reflected in the healthcare sector, where you can view the results of your tests not only at the original center but also securely at other clinics. The centers are interoperable, allowing you to transfer your results to any healthcare institution.”
We can see that this is a very complex issue in the physical world, but the metaverse is already prepared for that.
From this digital world you can, for example, make your avatar operate in different places, either by transporting and remaining inactive in the place of origin or by operating simultaneously in two metaverses at the same time.
“Interoperability can become a new business model,” Tomás explains, “because the volume of data generated within the metaverse is enormous, allowing us to learn more about consumers, their tastes, behaviors, style, and more, turning us all into data producers.”

This means that, in the not-too-distant future, the roles of consumer and producer will become blurred. For example: What happens if you start shopping in a store within the metaverse, picking up the product and trying it out? At that moment, you become a data producer, so stores or brands could offer you discounts in exchange for that information.
What's the next step?
To merge the producer and consumer chain, with the goal that the Datasets can continue to grow, through the information that we all produce within the metaverse and that learning remains continuous and not only with the programming that is implemented.
“Otherwise, everything will be based on outdated stages of knowledge.” – Tomás Vera
Data is the new oil, so boosting its production will bring great benefits to continue creating and innovating, not only in physical environments, but also in digital ones.
Now that we know how interoperability is a fundamental part of the metaverse and the great relevance it has for its functioning and structure, it is time to broaden our perspective and learn a little more about everything this technology can offer us.
What does the metaverse hold for us?

This digital world is here to stay, and new advances are added every day, among which we can highlight:
• Total reduction of lenses: This hardware will change completely, thanks to a company called mojo.vision, who are developing contact lenses that will allow us to experience the metaverse through augmented reality.
• Diminished reality: This technology will allow you to block advertising or certain things you don't want to appear in your life, preventing them from influencing you.
• Mixed or augmented reality: This will allow you to revisit different places depending on what you want to happen. For example, go to a restaurant and define a different environment, sound, or experience, all while living in reality.
• Education: Branching will be used, duplicating the teacher so that each teacher teaches each student individually, allowing for immersion in knowledge, something that is not currently feasible in classrooms.
“Virtual reality plus artificial intelligence will give us a completely different learning field” Tomás Vera
• Tourism: Planning a trip, knowing if the tour is actually what you want to do, being certain of what you are going to see and acquiring packages through experience, are just some of the advantages that the metaverse will bring to this field.
• Mental health: It will be a therapeutic tool for treating various psychological disorders. Immersive technologies allow the creation of simulated environments that resemble real-life situations, giving therapists the opportunity to expose patients to feared or traumatic situations in a controlled and safe environment.
This can be especially useful in the treatment of anxiety disorders, phobias, autism spectrum disorders, post-traumatic stress disorders, among others.
• Massive shows: They will bring together millions of people from all over the planet, increasing reach and achieving greater interaction.
This is exactly what happened at the metaverse seminar, where in addition to the face-to-face talks, more than 900 avatars were able to follow the two days of the event in parallel and discuss the topics covered without interruption.
But that's not all; vests and Bluetooth bracelets with sensors are also being developed, which aim to further enhance our perception of the metaverse and allow us to experience much more realistic sensations.
At Zenta, we continue working and training to deliver the best of innovation to each client, providing them with new opportunities to maximize their businesses and also encouraging society to learn about these technologies and know that in our country we are working to safely enjoy this metaversal world.
