At Zenta, getting more girls and women involved in the exciting world of IT is fundamental, which is why we participate in various initiatives that promote this goal, one of them being Technovation Girls.
“An international program where girls solve problems using technology”
This year, at Technovations Girls Chile, more than 1500 girls participated in a pitch, conducted and defended entirely in English, where they presented their projects to judges from more than 90 companies, including Zenta, represented by Camila Valenzuela, our English Coach.
She became a judge not only because of her great expertise in the English language, but also because of her desire to contribute, on a voluntary basis, to encourage the girls and evaluate their pitches, leaving them prepared to move on to the grand final, to be held in Silicon Valley, United States.
This event took place in three of Chile's most important cities: Santiago, Valparaíso, and Concepción. It showcased incredible and eye-catching projects, demonstrating the social commitment of the participants.
Many mobile application projects were presented, some of which focused on the following areas:
• Reduce water consumption
• Improve water quality in rural areas
• Social Networks to support recycling
• Follow-up for children with ASD
• Emotional support
• Stress reduction in university students
• Job search support for people with zero experience.
These are just some of the projects that Camila Valenzuela evaluated along with 4 other judges from Concepción.
“I find it incredible how many young girls in tech we have today, and it’s great to have programs like Technovation Girls to see the creative and interesting ideas that girls showcase with their apps,” said Camila Valenzuela, English Coach at Zenta.
Undoubtedly, these types of projects are vital for more girls to become interested in technology and to enjoy its many opportunities, generating social contributions that improve the daily lives of many people.
Finally, Camila shares her perspective and the feelings this experience left her with:
“I could see perseverance, motivation, dedication, and courage in all of them, and that fills my heart with pride. GO GIRLS!”

We will continue to be present in these types of activities, because we know the full potential that girls have to achieve unparalleled things through technology.
